There were gods and goddesses of plenty, of fertility, of love, of law, of the sea and ships, and a multitude of animistic spirits who inhabited all things and beings of the earth.
But the world order began to break down when the gods, greedy for riches, tortured the witch Gullveig, the maker of gold, to compel her to reveal her secrets. Discord now became rampant among the gods and men. The gods began to break their oaths. corruption, treachery, rivalry, and greed began to dominate the world. With the breakdown of the primal unity, the days of the gods and men, of Asgard and Midgard, were numbered. Inexorably, the violation of the world order would lead to Ragnarok-the death of the gods in a great conflict before Valhalla. The gods would go down in a terrible battle with the giants, Fenris the wolf, and the serpent of the Midgard. With the mutual destruction of all the combatants, humanity too would perish, and nothing would remain but bare rock and overflowing oceans in a void of cold and darkness. Having thus disintegrated into its beginnings, however, the world would be renewed, purged of its earlier evils and the corruption that destroyed it. Nor would the new world emerging from the void suffer another catastrophic end, for the second generation of gods and god- desses would learn from the mistakes of their antecedents. The proph- etess who recounts the story tells us that humanity thenceforth will `live in joy for as long as one can foresee.`

Rather, one is aware of prophecy infused with historical trauma. the legend belongs to a little-explored area of mythology that might be called `myths of disinte- gration.` Although the Ragnarok legend is known to be quite old, we know very little about when it appeared in the evolution of the Norse sagas. We do know that Christianity, with its bargain of eternal reward, came later to the Norsemen than to any other large ethnic group in western Europe, and its roots were shallow for generations afterward. The heathenism of the north had long made contact with the commerce of the south. During the Viking raids on Europe, the sacred places of the north had become polluted by gold, and the pursuit of riches was divid- ing kinsman from kinsman. Hierarchies erected by valor were being eroded by systems of privilege based on wealth. A Management Audit of the Babel Project
According to the Genesis account, the tower of Babel was man`s second major engineering undertaking, after Noah`s ark. Babel was the first engineering fiasco.
The story is deep and instructive on several levels. Let us, however, examine it purely as an engineering project, and see what management lessons can be learned. How well was their project equipped with the prerequisites for success? Did they have:
A clear mission? Yes, although naively impossible. The project failed long before it ran into this fundamental limitation. Manpower? Plenty of it. Materials? Clay and asphalt are abundant in Mesopotamia. Enough time? Yes, there is no hint of any time constraint. Adequate technology? Yes, the pyramidal or conical structure is inherently stable and spreads the compressive load well. Clearly masonry was well understood. The project failed before it hit technological limitations.
Well, if they had all of these things, why did the project fail? Where did they lack? In two respects—communication, and its consequent, organization. They were unable to talk with each other. hence they could not coordinate. When coordination failed, work ground to a halt. Reading between the lines we gather that lack of communication led to disputes, bad feelings, and group jealousies. Shortly the clans began to move apart, preferring isolation to wrangling.

White Shadows is a modern fable, a distorted mirror of our own world, funny, fucked up and a little meaningful.
Some time ago, the great war led to a plague which wiped almost all living things from the face of the earth. Or so they say. Nobody is safe outside the White City, and the birds are to blame for the plague. Or so they say. Only a shining coat of fresh white color will protect you from the plague, and you must earn your ration of color by staying obedient. Or so they say. But Ravengirl stopped listening.
Her escape pushes you deeper and deeper into ever more surreal parts of the city – slums constructed out of the remains of a circus, giant workers’ quarters which travel through the endless night, a perverted amusement park where white color flows endlessly, a forgotten place where the other outlaws gather around a tree made of tin.
On your journey into the darkness you will become the main attraction of the half-human, half-animal inhabitants of the city. You will catch up with your own past and become a victim, a perpetrator, a prophet. You will find the resistance hidden deep in the belly of the city and learn about the horrible truth of the white color and the world outside the city. Or will you?

White Night embraces many of the conventions of noir tales (from the mysterious blonde and use of narration to the sense of foreboding) in conjunction with the survival horror genre. The severe black and white visuals are paired with a light/dark gameplay mechanic, combining form and function for this adventure game. As in noir, powerful forces work against the protagonist, extracting a heavy price, and in the end there`s no such thing as a complete victory.
White Night sticks to the standard adventure game backbone of searching for items and solving puzzles. It drapes on survival horror not only in the chilling, gothic ghosts that inhabit the mansion you investigate, but in another gameplay aspect. The contrasting black and white art style creates areas of shadow and light. To stay alive you have to stay in the light, otherwise you die of fear. Matches illuminate the darkness and thus keep you alive, and are one of the few resources in a game with no weapons with which to ward off ghosts.
The malevolent ghosts highlight both negative and positive aspects of the game. You`re dead once they get their claws on you (they only vanish in bright light), and since they are often semi-randomly placed in areas, you occasionally have to replay sections simply to be able to run by them. The sometimes-inconvenient save system is also frustrating, as is the fact that the camera angles – while providing appealing framing – can disorient and lead to deaths.
Still, this repetition does not completely dampen White Night`s tension and scary nature. It`s not just a collection of ghost jump scares, but rather a title that successfully layers ambient sounds, timing, music, and other peripheral elements to retain its atmosphere throughout. The constant tension gets to you. I also liked how the script for the narration and the item descriptions added to the overall atmosphere, following the slightly over-written style of classic noir.
White Night adeptly merges survival horror with noir to create an alluring visual style and atmosphere. However, neither the story nor the puzzles are exceptional, and the game comes up just short. It has substance to its style, but it also doesn`t satisfactorily build off its base components – as well done as they are. In the end, like many noir stories, this game exists in the grey.

Jedina normalna rally igra na Segi nekada koju sam odigrao je `Power Drive`, secam se da sam je sa uzivanjem igrao. Mali FIAT i Opel Astra su bili u igri cini mi se, simpa i muzika je super.
